MAN TRAPPED NEWSPAPER ARTICLE
Several different newspapers had writeups and pictures. However, each paper had a little something wrong. I was actually not trapped in the car. A railroad workcrew found me not a State Trooper.

Nothing was there from the windshield forward, not even the frame. You could open the glove compartment and look outside. The windshield just flapped in the wind. If you'll notice there is not even a frame showing.
Front Page News Paper Article
This is the best copy I could get from the Daily Home newspaper where I made front page. The text is not very legible, but it reads as follows; Oscar Monroe Harp 24 of box 1757 Anniston, Alabama was trapped in his car for 15 hours after it left the road on Alabama hwy 21 around 10pm Thursday and crashed under a bridge. Harp was transferred to Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham with multiple injuries, a leg fracture and broken neck according to hospital spokesman State Trooper J.B. Robinson found the car around 1pm on Friday and radioed for assistance;; The following error’s was made in this ad; #1-I was trapped 17 hours not 15. I had the accident about 9pm and was found by a railroad work crew at 2pm; #2- I was not found by the State Trooper but by the railroad work crew hearing me and stopping the train. The State Trooper happened by and was flagged down;; #3- Multiple injuries were Broken Neck in 4 places, Crushed Hip, Crushed Pelvis, Broken Nose, Broken Facial Bones, Eye Blown from it’s socket because of the broken facial bones, Broke Wrist, Crushed Hand, Right Leg Torn to The Bone from pelvis to knee, Crushed sciatic nerve, eventual paralysis from neck down, and multiple other injuries.

You can see the limbs that I pulled up by and the area where I lay in the heavy underbrush.
The Hood
The hood looked as though it was manually detached with a wrench. It sail across a little creek and looked to have very little damage?

I hit the corner of the bridge and went airborn off the 80 foot embankment.
Transmission-A-Frame--Radiator--Exhaust and Etc.
The transmission was broken loose from the motor at the bell housing and flywheel, it was found 15 feet away from the motor, as you can see the A-Frame looks as though it was just unbolted, the whel attached to the hub was torn away. You can see the top of the radiator, the front bumper, tailpipe, exhaust ant etc.
Steering Wheel--Floorboard--etc.
The Steering Wheel & Steering Sector was laying outside completely detached. Look at the floorboard and you can see grass, this is because the floorboard was peeled completely back. The sparetire came from the trunk through the back seat from the impact. You could open the glove compartment and look outside because everything was gone from the windshield forward. The windshield was just flapping. laso look at the grass you can see at the top corner end of the dash at the door.
